Research interests
Professor Leanza research interests focus on two areas:
- Intervention in intercultural context, according to two themes
- Work with community interpreters (or public service interpreters) in mental health and somatic medicine: its roles and consequences in clinical interaction.
- The relationship to the Other in healthcare. By Other it is meant the one who is perceived as carrying a radical difference, an otherness that questions the professional skills used to interpret the signs of the environment and to conduct actions.
- Sleep and culture, treated according to the comparative mode between several socio-cultural contexts (Brazil, Argentina and Quebec).
